One of my favourite things to do is sneak off to the bath once the baby is tucked up in bed and listen to my favourite podcasts. I like that I can get through them at my own pace, whilst having a steady stream of entertainment. I’m always looking for new podcasts to follow, but some of my favourites have been with me for years.
I was asked to share my top podcast recommendations in collaboration with the Panasonic Waterproof Bluetooth speaker and so I’ve whittled it down to my top 5. I wanted to include a range of genres but I can never get enough of true crime.
Crime & Dine
Actually made by my talented friend Tiff, Crime & Dine combines two of my greatest loves: food and true crime. There are 3 episodes available now, with more on the way. Binge away.
CRIME & DINE is a true crime Podcast where murder meets Mukbang. In this series we’ll eat a whole lot and examine the link between true crime and food. Join us as we delve into some well known, and some not so well known crimes that have a connection to the thing we all need to survive. We’ll eat our way through each episode so we can make a connection with the crimes, the victims and the perpetrators to gain a deeper understanding into each story.
My Favourite Murder
My Favourite Murder is another essential for true crime fans. It’s been running since 2016 so if you’re new to the podcast, you’ve got plenty of episodes to get stuck into.
Lifelong fans of true crime stories Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark tell each other their favourite tales of murder and hear hometown crime stories from friends and fans.
Last Podcast On The Left
Last Podcast On The Left covers true crime and all things dark. It’s been running for even longer so a great one to binge when you’re feeling morbid.
The Last Podcast On The Left covers all the horrors our world has to offer both imagined and real. from demons and slashers to cults and serial killers, the last podcast is guaranteed to satisfy your blood lust.
Bitch Sesh: A Real Housewives Breakdown
Something lighter now, in the form of comedy podcast Bitch Sesh, dedicated to my guilty pleasure, the Real Housewives series.
Casey Wilson and Danielle Schneider LOVE the Real Housewives on Bravo, and they’re sharing that excitement with you on Bitch Sesh! Listen in to hear the ladies dish on the season’s wildest moments, answer to all your burning Housewives questions, drink Housewives-branded wine, and bring on some super special guests. Don’t be tardy to the party!
And lastly, a techy one. I’m a front-end developer and have followed Chris Coyier and his website CSS Tricks for yonks. Chris along with Dave Rupert host ShopTalk, which is a podcast dedicated to front-end and UX.
ShopTalk is a podcast about front end web design, development and UX. Each week Chris Coyier and Dave Rupert are joined by a special guest to talk shop and answer listener submitted questions.
So that’s my top 5! Let me know if you know of any podcasts I should be listening to.
