NYE At Disneyland Paris

3rd January 2017

I’m not a big NYE fan. As a rule I tend to stay indoors and maybe watch the London fireworks on TV. Two years ago I went to Reykjavik and watched the fireworks there which was truly epic, as they set off 500 tonnes of fireworks, flares and seemingly anything explosive. Fireworks can only be bought for New Year’s Eve and all the money raised is donated to the Icelandic Search and Rescue.

We loved it so much, the following year we returned but managed to miss the fireworks due to bad weather and delays. Unbeknown to me at the time, this was to become my New Year’s Eve tradition.

Harry Potter Studio Tour

23rd December 2016

It’s Christmas Eve-Eve! For my last post before Christmas I thought I would post about doing the Harry Potter Studio Tour around this time last year. I didn’t get a chance to write about it back then, but had to now as between September and November I re-read all the Harry Potter books and am seriously considering starting at the beginning again. Normally at this time of year I enjoy watching the films, something which always makes me feel festive, so I’ll probably put them on this evening when I’m finishing my wrapping. I recently saw and loved Magical Beasts And Where To Find Them and am looking forward to reading the book. I read The Cursed Child script on the way back from Svalbard and loved it, so would really like to see the play at some point.

When we visited the Harry Potter studio tour it had been transformed for Winter and Hogwarts was covered in snow. We wandered around the tour at our own pace and I took 398420394823 photos, but have picked some of my favourite moments to share.

A Weekend In Paris – Part One.

24th March 2016
love locks

When I started my blog, I fully intended to write about the places I’ve been whilst traveling, in fact I did for a while -but then deleted them because I’m weird like that- but I can never seem to decide if that kind of content has a place here. I don’t travel enough to have a travel blog (sadly) but at the moment certainly it’s a big part of my life. Inspired by Sally and her amazing retrospective travel posts and the awesome post by Jemma on why she can’t have a blog with a niche, I’m embracing randomness a bit more and will be sharing the odd travel post here and there, starting today as I’m feeling nostalgic about the amazing weekend I spent in Paris earlier this year.
