Good morning! I’m loving these lighter starts but would be lying if I said the cold didn’t make me want to snuggle back up under my duvet. This morning I’m excited to be talking about one of my favourite brands, Skinnydip London!
I first discovered the Skinnydip whilst browsing my local Topshop, where they had a small stand hidden amongst the accessories. Since then their popularity has exploded and they now and have a presence in all Top Shop stores. Even expanding to open their own shops around the UK. Finally Skinnydip have opened in Cardiff (yay!), with an incredibly Instagrammable new shop in St David’s Arcade. To celebrate their opening, Skinnydip invited myself, Rachel and a group of other bloggers down to the store to hang out and pick some new swag.

We were treated to the cutest cupcakes I think I’ve ever seen. I should have taken a proper photo of them but I was too busy stuffing my face (Sorry, not sorry). And -as the event was sponsored by VitaCoco– given coconut water to wash them down with. In addition to the delicious snacks, a DJ played her set in the store whilst we chatted with the Skinnydip team and eyed up their latest products.
Orca Phone Case
I’ve pretty much had a Skinnydip case on my phone since first discovering them. And I currently have a glittery orca whale design (which might be my favourite yet!) on my iPhone 7+. So I couldn’t resist getting this matching keyring.
For me Skinnydip are synonymous with super cute phone accessories and bags (of which I have a few and the temptation to get a new one was intense, let me tell you!), but I wanted to take the opportunity to try a different aspect of the current collection, their beauty offering.
In addition to their own range of makeup, tools and makeup bags Skinnydip stock some awesome brands. Including my favourites, Miss Patisserie and OH K!.
Pink Iridescent Makeup Roll
The first item I decided on was a makeup roll. A cute storage solution with room for products and your favourite brushes. Ideal for traveling, it’s made of the most amazing pink iridescent material and I fell in love with it. These makeup rolls cost £15.00 and I’ve taken mine everywhere since getting it.
Luxe I Kit You Not Brush Set
And naturally, I had to try a set of their makeup brushes. I picked the Luxe I Kit You Not brush set, a set of five eye brushes with a black handle and pink bristles. The brushes in this set are amongst my most used and I don’t think you can ever have too many (not just to put off washing my brushes, honestly). With the exception of one, the crease brush which is cut at an unusual angle. Having had a chance to experiment with them all, I love how this brush gets into the crease and have been reaching for it a lot.
All the brushes are super soft and I’ve not had any bristle loss so far. Whilst the Skinnydip makeup brushes I tried look cute, they perform well too which makes them well worth adding to your collection. This set costs £18.
I couldn’t resist this shell hair brush. Every time I use it I feel like a mermaid and let’s face it, who doesn’t want to feel like a mermaid first thing in the morning? I picked the lilac glitter design. These hairbrushes come in a range of colours -hello rose gold!- and cost £14.
If you’re local, you can find the new Skinnydip London store in Cardiff’s St David’s arcade.
