Despite spending a considerable amount of time working from home, my office is neglected. In addition to being my workspace it’s also a utility room and the cats HQ. Posterlounge kindly invited me to pick out some new artwork to print on a poster for my home and I instantly thought of my workspace.
I’ve slowly accumulated tropical themed home accessories so decided to add a bit of personality to my desk by incorporating those.

Posterlounge have a huge variety of artwork to choose from, available on a selection of materials and in different sizes. I opted for a cheerful typographic poster on Forex -a thick rigid surface- at 50x70cm. My poster arrived within a few days, safely packaged and complete with mounts for hanging on the wall. Although I picked this material so I wouldn’t have to hang the poster.
Adding Personality With A Poster
I love how easy it is to inject personality to a space with artwork. I’m a big fan of typographic prints. This new addition really tied my desk decor together.
The office isn’t yet decorated. So I love being able to add personality to my otherwise boring desk in the meantime. I think this corner may now inspire the whole room’s decor. I’m forever seeing tropical pieces I love in the shops at the moment.
For some rooms in the house, I knew exactly how I wanted to decorate. With others -especially multipurpose rooms like the study- it’s not so straightforward. Playing with themes has been a great way to experiment before taking the plunge and getting the paint out.
What do you think of my new tropical workspace?
