This morning I’m craving almond croissants and dreaming of hotel breakfasts. Sadly it’s just self-service Cardiff toast for me today though. I’ve been a long time fan of Nip + Fab skincare, but have tried comparatively less of their makeup offering. Launched last year, it’s had a great reception. I hadn’t tried any of their lip products so decided to give the Nip + Fab Matte Liquid Lipstick a try. Read on to find out what I thought.
There are a ton of nude shades in the Nip + Fab Matte Liquid Lipstick, along with some bold darker shades. I love a good nude so was spoiled for choice. But eventually settled with Tart, a beige nude shade.

Tart Liquid Lipstick Swatch
The Nip + Fab Matte Liquid Lipstick has a soft mouse like texture when first applied. It’s a liquid lipstick which doesn’t dry down fully, making it really comfortable to wear. It did transfer as expected when drinking, but I found it wore evenly for hours. Fading slightly in places rather than flaking off, as a fully dry formula would.
The applicator was easy to use and I love the shade. Tart is pretty similar to several of the other nude shades, so it’s a case of finding one which suits your, rather than collecting them all. However there are some gorgeous neutral shades, Cinnamon and Spice are on my wishlist.
I’ve never been a big lover of liquid lipsticks which don’t dry down fully. But I have to admit this one is a real game changer for me. It has a lot of the staying power of a liquid lipstick without the discomfort. I’ll take the slightly diminished wearing time for a more comfortable experience. I typically only wear liquid lipsticks for special occasions (excluding my beloved Kat Von D Everlasting liquid lipsticks which defy all other liquid lipstick caveats) but have been reaching for this all the time.
I hope they continue to release new shades in this range. I’ll be adding a few more to my makeup bag for sure.
The Nip + Fab Matte Liquid Lipsticks are currently on sale at Superdrug for £5.30.
