My Wedding – The Photos

I hate photos of myself as a rule so was slightly dreading having our photos taken on our wedding day, but because it was such a special day all I see when I look at these is how happy I was. My mother-in-law is a professional photographer and so she did our photos which made the whole thing so much more relaxed.

We had some photos taken at Sólheimajökull after the ceremony.

Puddles of melt water made little ponds and whilst taking our photos my MIL had a slight mishap which was hilarious.

She managed to capture lots of my favourite photos when we had no idea she was looking, or from a distance so we didn’t feel shy.

After the ceremony we began our drive back to the hotel, stopping at the waterfalls on our way for photo stops. I’ve been to these waterfalls on every trip and in both Winter and Summer but never seen a rainbow, amazingly we had a rainbow appear behind us at both Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss.

I couldn’t be happier with the photos we have from our wedding day and love looking at them, especially as everything went by so quickly on the day!
