My Daily Highlighting Products

14th December 2015

My name’s Amy and I’m addicted to highlighting. There, I said it.

I love trying out new highlighting products and have a load on rotation. However there are two which I use daily without fail to create my day-to-day highlight.

Cream Highlighting

I start with a MAC concealer a few shades lighter than my skintone. And apply across my cheek bones, on my forehead, down my nose, on my cupids bow and my chin. I dab it on using a MAC duo fibre 130 brush. Then blend with a sponge which has been lightly sprayed with MAC Studio Fix.

Powder Highlighter

Next I apply MAC Soft & Gentle highlight powder over my cheek bones, nose and cupids bow using my MAC 129 powder brush. I have so much love for Soft & Gentle, it has a really nice shimmer but the glitter is finely milled.

I don’t know where I would be without these products and my faithful brushes.

I’m curious to hear what highlighting products everyone else would rate as being their most used?

I’m currently using the high beam highlighter from Benefit, but I love the sound of these, definitely going to be added to my wish list! x

I still have a lot of love for High Beam but tend to wear it under my foundation to build glow now rather than as my on top highlighter. Awesome! 🙂 x

  • These Mac products look very pretty for highlighting. I am in the process of creating a highlighting system. Thanks for the tip. 🙂

Awesome! I’m constantly switching mine up but these two are staples.

  • Philtrum aka Cupid’s bow. Haha I wouldn’t have known what it was if you hadn’t said it in brackets! haha This highlighter looks awesome tho! <3 I'm using Mary-Lou Manizer at the moment and I love it! <3
