It had been ages since I picked up anything other than the odd refill from MAC Cosmetics. They were the band who got me into makeup. Since I was 18 I’ve been collecting their products. In recent years the quality has changed and so I only regularly use a few things from MAC Cosmetics.
I’m pleased to say that MAC Cosmetics have been upping their game recently. More MAC Cosmetics products have become solid favourites in my makeup collection again.
MAC Cosmetics Prep & Prime Fix+ Spray
MAC Cosmetics Fix+ is a hydrating spray which helps set makeup. I prefer a stronger hold spray but use Fix+ to blend with. It’s lightweight enough to work with whilst adding some extra staying power to the makeup you’re blending.
Prep & Prime Natural Radiance Base
Also I picked up the Natural Radiance base in the paler colour of the two. I tried this a few months back in the MAC Cosmetics store and loved it. It creates a dewy look and gives a subtle glow from under foundation, whilst working as a primer.
Studio Fix Concealer
Studio fix concealer is my go-to cream highlighter. I use a darker shade of the same product for cream contouring.
A New Brush
Another MAC brush has been added to my contouring arsenal. The 187 duo fibre stippling brush. Made with both goat and synthetic fibres this brush can be used with powder and creams. I prefer to use it for creams and make use of the long bristles for cream contouring.
Lastly I can never resist a MAC lipstick (or two!). I love nudes so bought Fresh Brew, which I first came across in the 2009 Hello Kitty range. I also got the latest Viva Glam lipstick. Pamela Anderson’s Shade. This is a shimmery pink warm-toned nude which is highly wearable.
