Finally the Haute Dogs collection has made it to the UK. Whilst in London at a dress fitting I called into the MAC shop in Westfields shopping centre. I haven’t been this excited about a MAC collection in years.

I’m a firm believer there’s no such thing as too many nude lipsticks and I’m obsessed with burgundy colours for Autumn.

I love the promo visuals for this collection, which feature women and their canine counterparts. When I first got into makeup I would eagerly await new MAC collection launches and collected the accompanying post cards. They don’t seem to do these anymore which is a shame.

I purchased three nude lipstick shades, a deep burgundy lipstick, nude shimmery gloss and three nail polishes in tan, grey and burgundy. I love the MAC nail varnish colours but do find the formula to be quite thin when applied and relatively easy to chip. However this can be worked around with a good top coat.

Barking Gorgeous is my favourite lipstick from the collection. An orange warn-toned nude which is easy to wear.

Fashion Pack is a pale nude. It doesn’t have as bold a colour payoff as I would have hoped.

Rare Breed is a pink toned nude. I love the formula of these mineralise lipsticks. Highly creamy and comfortable to wear.

Nose For Style is a purple burgundy tone. Perfect for Autumn. There’s an accompanying lipgloss in this collection which I love to wear over the top.

Laptop mineralize lipgloss. Laptop is similar to MAC favourite gloss C-Thru, but filled with very finely milled glitter. It’s not overly sticky and as comfortable to wear as a lipgloss ever is.
