H&M Rose Reverie Body Mist

I love H&M. Like really love it. The majority of my clothes are from there and I love browsing their homeware department.

I’ve always liked perusing their till bits and bobs. You know the things you don’t realise you need until you see? Like cute makeup bags, more socks, or bubble bath.

Back in circa 2006, before H&M launched their beauty range, I would wonder over to MAC on my lunch break and then into H&M which was next door. I developed the ability to zone in on anything Hello Kitty related and one afternoon when queuing, I spotted some Hello Kitty products by the H&M tills. At that time they had a whole range of ‘pamper’ HK products, body creams, lip balms and body mists.

All my wages for my part-time job went on MAC, so the only perfume I owned was a Britney Spears Curious I’d had one Christmas. I purchased the body mists and fell in love with them. I associate them with Summer and a more carefree time.

Somewhere along the line H&M stopped making those sprays. Or I got older. Maybe both. I forgot about them entirely until I read Yiota‘s post (which I now can’t find, maybe I dreamt this!) mentioning H&M mists.

H&M Body Mists

I can’t pass H&M without gravitating inside and sure enough, there they were. Just like old times. A Hello Kitty wouldn’t go amiss on the packaging but otherwise they still ooze Summer to me. With bright packaging and floral ingredients. I picked up Rose Reverie, made with frangipani (not going to lie, I thought that was some sort of cake), damask rose and white musk.

These body mists are perfect for holidays or days at the beach when perfume would be wasted as you’ll be jumping in and out of the sea. They have a gorgeous scent once the spray has settled but I definitely noticed a chemical scent that I don’t recall from the original ones.

The scent is very subtle but at £2.99 you can afford to be quick generous with how much you apply. Whilst these aren’t going to replace my perfume anytime soon, I have a nostalgic love for them and think they’ll be great in the Summer.

The body mists are available in three other scents: Cashmere Haze, Midnight Muse and Caribbean Crush.

  1. My local H&M doesn’t have a beauty section. I’ve heard wonderful things about their collection though. I love a subtle body mist when the months are becoming warmer.

    1. Ah we’re lucky we’ve got a pretty big one! These are often just around by the tills though so worth keeping an eye out for X

  2. Who knew H&M did beauty like this! I will have to check it out – thanks for the heads up xx

  3. Oh help me god, tomorrow I will go to H&M to buy some presents and I forbidden myself from purchasing anything for me, it would be impossible though since I need this spray as well. And you didn’t dream about it Amy, I shared my purchases on instagram a few weeks ago, I bought a spray and a body cream and I love them both! Do you have anything else that I should buy from H&M beauty related??xx

    1. Haha! Ahh it makes sense, it was on IG! My brain isn’t functioning properly at the moment haha! A bit boring but I got some of their pressed powders and LOVED them. I want to try more! Xx

  4. I just came back from central London and had this thought I’d need to go back in soon! I love a Body Mist and although I’m not sure about the rose scent for me, I really want to check out Caribbean Crush! Does this smell fruity? Will definitely have a look next time I’m in town xx

  5. My little sister has just started getting into all things beauty/make-up and the little beggar keeps sneaking spritzes of my expensive D&G perfume! Wasted on a 15-year old with no one to impress if you ask me haha. I’ll have to stock on some of these for her! I’d normally give them a miss as I find you tend to pay for longevity when it comes to scents and mists and stuff, but you’ve sold em to me!

    1. Haha nightmare! These would be ideal for her. I agree and these definitely are a lot subtler than a good perfume but for Summer and chucking on when you don’t want to waste your good perfume they’re great! X

    1. I find locating anything in the shop is an absolute nightmare as it’s so disorganised. I tend to find stuff online then get help finding it in store haha X

  6. H&M Body mists bring out the memories! I like their clothing too and their home department, but have kinda forgotten about the beauty department.. Maybe I should give it a try! I’ve also read good things about their makeup. 🙂

Btw, loved the Nordisk candle review, it may be the most beautiful candle I’ve ever seen! Couldn’t comment on that for some reason.

    1. They so do haha. Last year they did a big launch with H&M beauty and I was quite impressed! Thanks Charlotta – I managed to accidentally post it in the past so Disqus locked my comments, oops! X

  7. H&M has interesting products but I’ve never tried any of their beauty products, it’s sad that the scent has a chemical smell 🙁

  8. I didn’t know they made body mists. I usually don’t use body mists but it does sound lovely for the price tag x

  9. I agree H&M is so so good!! I love their clothing and homeware, but I haven’t tried anything beauty related yet! This would be great for going on Holiday though, definitely might have to pick one up for just £2.99!! xx
